Alamo City poised for historic economic growth…

As the U.S. recovers from a brutal recession, there is a sense among some local leaders and economists that San Antonio, which maintained a positive level of momentum even during the downturn, will have a leg up on a number of other cities and is in position to realize substantial economic gains as the nation’s fiscal health improves.

The average total job count for San Antonio over the last six months of 2010 was 835,500. That is roughly a 1 percent improvement over the average count during the same period in 2009. But the job rate is more significant considering the number of regions across the U.S. that had to deal with job losses and higher unemployment…
