by admin on January 14, 2014

During 2013, the Raub Blog shared a number of reports on how fast San Antonio is growing. The city was ranked in many categories including Milken Institute’s Top Performing sites, Forbes’ Top Cities for Business and Careers and Forbes’ list of Cities Creating the Most Middle Class Jobs.

It comes as no surprise that San Antonio is expected to continue to prosper in the New Year. Recently San Antonio was ranked the Number 2 city on Forbes’ list of The Metro Areas with The Most Economic Momentum Going Into 2014.

With the increase in population and economic activity in the city over the past few years we have seen an increase in traffic and road congestion. In response, San Antonio officials announced Monday, January 6th, plans to spend $825 million on Bexar County highway projects . The construction, set to relieve traffic on U.S 281, Interstate 10 and 1604, will include San Antonio’s first toll roads. The construction is scheduled to begin in 2016.
